Vedic Sun Sign Forecast for Rahu and Ketu transit

On March 23, 2019, Rahu moves into the sign of Gemini and Ketu moves into the sign of Sagittarius. They will stay in these signs for the next 18 months. Gemini is the sign of information. Rahu symbolizes urgent fascination. So, Rahu in Gemini has a tendency to make people curious and fascinated. On the negative side, this transit can sometimes produce problems with communication, short journeys, and the ability to get accurate information.

Ketu, on the other hand, is the planet of spirituality, detachment, meditation and introspection. Sagittarius is the sign of truth, purpose, dharma and the spiritual path. So Ketu and Sagittarius also go well together. This transit can generally give the desire to travel to foreign countries, and to move in a more spiritual direction.

However, the effect of each of these transits on your individual chart will be very individualized, and will depend on the exact placements of the planets in your horoscope.

This period could give you an interest in subjects that are unconventional, technical, esoteric, or alternative. Communication could be a little difficult, so try to be patient and think about what you are going to say before you say it. You don’t want your words to come back to haunt you later.

Ketu is passing through your ninth house, the house of travel, so this is a time that could produce travel. Saturn will be with Ketu until January of 2020, so there could also be delays, obstacles, or pressures during travel in the first year of the transit. This is a great period for spiritual development, however.

May 15 - Jun 14 (Taurus) This period could produce a strong emphasis on finances, since Rahu is transiting your second house. You might find yourself working hard to make money, and you also might become more impulsive than usual with spending it. So try to minimize your expenses and save your money during this time. The second house is also related to food, so this is a good time to search out and let go of addictive tendencies that could surface during the period.

Ketu is moving through your eighth house. Along with Saturn here, it could produce changes in your job situation. That could be a change of job or a redefining of your role in your current job. This transit favors technical work, but it also suggests a need for patience during the 18 months of Ketu’s transit of Sagittarius. This is a good time to practice yoga and for other spiritual practices.

Jun 15 - Jul 15 (Gemini) Rahu is moving through your first house now. During this period, you might feel like reinventing yourself. This is a good time for putting a little more energy into projecting yourself in a positive light. You might refurbish your wardrobe, change your hairstyle, or simply make a greater effort to extend yourself in a positive way to other people. This is a good time to work on your diet and exercise program as well.

Ketu is transiting your seventh house. During this period, you could experience some challenges regarding one-to-one relationships. This is a good period to set clear boundaries, and ask the people in your life to step up to the plate and be responsible. Your partners or friends could also ask this of you, by the way. If a relationship is not working for you, then this period could also bring the need to let go. If you want relationships to go well during this transit, you will need to be patient.

Jul 16 - Aug 16 (Cancer) With Rahu now passing through your twelfth house, you might experience a desire to travel to an exotic, different, or even a foreign place. Sometimes this transit produces unusual dreams. It can also produce a desire to spend money.

Ketu is moving through your sixth house. During this period, you might need to put extra effort into maintaining your routines of health. You can probably benefit now through various alternative healing modalities. This is also a time that could test your relationships. If a relationship is no longer serving you, this is a good time to let it go.

Aug 17 - Sep 16 (Leo) Rahu is passing through your eleventh house, where it stimulates ambitious activity. You will probably work very hard and be driven to accomplish your goals now. This period could be good for finances and career.

Ketu is transiting your fifth house. During this period, you might experience some delays, obstacles or pressures related to children or even adult relationships. This is a time to be patient with other people in general. It is a good time for any type of technical education or work. It might also promote travel.

Sep 17 - Oct 16 (Virgo) During this period, Rahu will be transiting your tenth house. This is a very good transit for promoting your career, by making you more intensely involved in your work. But it also promotes any type of ambitious projects as well.

Ketu is passing through your fourth house, so you might have a desire to change your residence now. This could be a change of residence or simply a remodel or repair of a residence. This period usually produces a desire for a nicer ambiance in the home or the environment in general, so it is also a good time to do gardening, landscaping, or even Feng Shui or Vastu.

Oct 17 - Nov 15 (Libra) Rahu is now transiting through your ninth house. During the transit, you might travel, and you might even travel to an exotic or foreign place. You could be more interested in alternative or spiritual ideas now. Anything that is esoteric, astrological, or unconventional might attract your attention.

Ketu is moving through your third house now. This could produce some challenges in the area of communication. So this is a good time to practice patience and to make a greater effort to be clear and direct in the way you interact with others. This period could also heighten your intuition.

Nov 16 - Dec 15 (Scorpio) Rahu is moving through your eighth house. This transit could stimulate changes, in general. One area in which you might feel restless and desire to make some changes is your residence. This could also be a time when you focus more on joint finances, if you have a partner.

Ketu is moving through your second house. During this period you might need to pay attention to your finances. This is not a good time to be spending tons of money on expensive things. Simple living and high thinking is the best motto now. The same is true for food. This would be a great period to diet, or to just get your act together with food. If you do, you could really improve your health.

Dec 16 - Jan 13 (Sagittarius) Rahu is passing through your seventh house. Now is a good time to practice patience in your various relationships. You might find other people being extra assertive, critical or judgmental at times. This might be particularly true from May 5 to June 22, 2019. On the other hand, sometimes this transit causes people to fall in love. It is especially good for relationships with people who are from different backgrounds, ethnic groups, or countries.

Ketu is transiting your first house. This is a good period for working on yourself, spiritually or physically. You might benefit from doing an extended retreat or two during this time. If you try to stay up with your health routines, you will do much better during this transit. If you feel the need for privacy or just some extra alone time, it’s a good thing, so go for it.

Jan 14 - Feb 12 (Capricorn) Rahu is passing through your sixth house. During this period, you will work very hard, and put a lot of energy into your ambitious projects. This is a good time for being competitive as well. This transit also can allow you to benefit from alternative healing modalities. On the negative side, it can sometimes produce vague or sub-clinical symptoms, physically. So an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure.

Ketu is passing through your twelfth house. This is a great transit for introspection, meditation, and reflection. It could also give you the desire to travel to a distant place or a foreign country. During this period you might feel uncertain about where you are headed, but that will pass by January of 2020. Use that energy to explore new things.

Feb 13 - Mar 13 (Aquarius) Rahu is passing through your fifth house. This period can promote or enhance creative activities and it is a good time for educational pursuits. In either of these areas it might make you feel a little obsessed, however, so make sure you don’t get too mental. This is also a time to refrain from risky investments. If you have kids, they could be a little extra assertive, competitive or argumentative now.

Ketu is passing through your eleventh house now. During the transit, you can benefit from contact with groups or friends that further your ideals or your spiritual values. On the other hand, you might find that friends who do not line up with your ideal, might not interest you now. Remember, there is no rule that says you have to hang out with people, just because you know them. Quality of friends is more important than quantity of friends. On another level, this could just be a period when you have a friend or two that is going through extra problems in their own lives.

Mar 14 - Apr 13 (Pisces) Rahu is passing through fourth house. During this time you might have a desire to change your residence or environment in some way. Don’t be too urgent if this desire comes up. Take your time. This period could also promote the ambitious energy of your spouse or partner.

Ketu is passing through your tenth house. This is good a time for perfecting projects and polishing your skills. During this period, you might feel some dissatisfaction with your work and might even feel a desire to let go of some part of it. It is a great time for pursuing anything that is related to the healing arts, gardening, creativity, or spirituality.
