The Moon on Christmas

The Moon on Christmas

On December 25th you will be able to see the Moon in Ashlesha Nakshatra.  Ashlesha is symbolized by Intertwining serpents and is associated with the unconscious.  I call it the psychologist’s nakshatra.  It promotes deep psychological insights.

On December 26th,  the Moon will be in Magha nakshatra, symbolized by a throne room.   Magha is ruled by the Pitris, the deified ancestors.  It is connected with the symbiotic relationship between children, parents, grandparents, and ancestors.  Through this nakshatra we can connect to our past, our family tree, our lineage and ancient traditions.

If you want to see these nakshatras, Ashlesha is at the end of Cancer and Magha is at the beginning of Leo.  They are both near the constellation of Regulus.  Here is a picture to help out with your Christmas night sky-watching.

Merry Christmas!
