Sun in Uttara Ashadha

The Sun will transit Uttara Ashadha nakshatra from January 11th until January 24th.  Uttara Ashadha is symbolized by the tusk of an elephant, so it is related to Ganesha the god who removes obstacles.  The shakti of Uttara Ashadha is the power to create an unstoppable victory.  This is a great time to begin new endeavors and to put your attention towards getting rid of obstacles.  It is also a good time for ambitious pursuits in general.  Ganesha broke off his tusk to use it as a pen to write the Mahabharata, so this is a great time to focus on education, writing, or any other academic activity.  However, since the name, Uttara Ashadha, means "later victory", this is also a time to be patient.  Anything of any great value in life is worth waiting for.  This is a time to play the long game and work slowly but surely towards your future goals.
