New Moon in Shravana

There will be a new moon on Friday, January 24th at 1:42pm in Shravana nakshatra. Shravana is in the middle of the sign of Capricorn. It is symbolized by three footprints and is connected to a story about how Vamana, a dwarf incarnation of Vishnu, kicked the demons out of heaven and brought the gods back to heaven, by taking three strides, and traveling across the entire universe. Essentially, the story is about putting your highest values (the gods) in the place of priority (the heavens). In other words, it's about remembering what is really important and making it the priority in your life. So this new moon is the beginning of an entire lunar month that is a perfect time to think about what is important. If your life isn't lined up on what is really important, then this is also a good time to push the reset button!
