New Moon in Purva Bhadrapada

by James Kelleher March 11, 2021

There will be a New Moon in Purva Bhadrapada nakshatra on March 13th at 2:21 a.m. PT. Purva Bhadrapada is symbolized by a funeral cot so it gives us the feeling that life is temporary. Its shakti is the power to elevate consciousness or spiritual awareness. In India, yogis meditate in crematorium grounds because it reminds them that life is temporary. This New Moon is an excellent time to reflect on the impermanence of life. It's also a good time for doing extra meditation and reaffirming your spiritual values. Finally, the energy preceding this new moon, especially the period of 24 hours before the Moon is completely dark, at 2:21 a.m. PT, is excellent for getting rid of, or ending things that have run their course.
