Mundane Astrology is the Astrology of nations, international politics, world finances, and global events. The word, mundane, gives the impression that this type of astrology is somehow ordinary and possibly even somewhat boring. Nothing could be further from the truth. All one has to do is to look around at all of the wild and wooly events that are occurring in our world to know that Mundane astrology is one of the most fascinating and important areas of astrological study.

I have been doing presentations on this subject, World Predictions lectures, every year, for the past 35 years. During that time, I have watched our planet go through a very dramatic segment of world history. In the process, I have been able to track the events and trends of our time through the lens of Vedic astrology. I have found that lens to be a powerful tool for understanding the times in which we live ,in the broad context of the law of karma.

In 2010, my teacher, Sadguru Sivanandamurthy, predicted that the world would go into a crisis in 2020, part of which would be due to disease. Based on his insights, prompting and guidance, in past public presentations, I predicted the exact month of our current pandemic for January of 2020. Sivanandamurty is the one that encouraged me to keep doing these presentations and to teach mundane astrology to others. Besides being a great mahatma, he was a fantastic astrologer. In my many conversations with him over a period of about 10 years, he frequently talked about the changes that would take place from 2020 to the end of the century. He felt that it was imperative that Vedic astrologers study Mundane astrology, so that they can help everyone else gain insight into the events and trends taking place in our changing world.

In this class I will describe the various techniques and methods for tracking and predicting world trends and events.
