Thanksgiving Full Moon 2018

On Thursday, November 22nd,  (Thanksgiving night in the USA) at 9:39 pm, there will be a full moon in Krittika Nakshatra.  Now this isn't just any old Full Moon!  First the Moon will be exalted in Taurus, the sign of food, abundance, and comfort.  It will also be in the 7th house from Jupiter, forming a Gaje Kesari Yoga.  This is a combination that produces a positive mood, desire to socialize, and is the best combination for parties and group events.  Finally, the Full Moon will take place in Krittika Nakshatra, the nakshatra ruled by Agni.  Agni is deified fire.  In mythology Agni fell in love with the seven wives of seven saints.  Since he was already in their fireplaces, he spied on the ladies and finally came up with a plan to seduce them all. His plan was to take the form of each of their husbands, and then to seduce each of them in disguise.  And his plan worked, or at least it mostly worked.  Agni managed to sleep with six out of the seven ladies.  The 7th rejected him, and the six that he had succeeded with collectively gave birth to the god of war, Kartikeya.   Let's see, six ladies, collectively using fire to produce the god of war...sounds like a recipe for a family Thanksgiving Turkey to me!  Maybe the 7th wife opted for a veggie burger.  In any case, may your Thanksgiving be a blessed with abundance and the company of loved ones.  If you are not from the USA, it doesn't matter, I wish you the same thing.
